Our Mission

ŠKODA AUTO is developing and producing safer and safer cars. For the further development of car occupant protection systems and accident prevention systems, it is necessary to research drivers´ reaction and cars´ behaviour in real traffic accidents.


    • ŠKODA cars as Safe as Possible – Our Aim!

      We are looking for other ways
      in which a car can even better eliminate the consequences of an accident.

      We are therefore focusing on the behaviour of ŠKODA cars not only in standardised barrier tests, but also in actual traffic accidents.

      We examine real accidents so that next time they do not happen or do not have fatal consequences.

A unique impact test which confirmed the high safety standards of Škoda Cars was performed at the Škoda Auto testing polygon in Úhelnice on 7 September 2010.
The results of a crash test involving a Superb Combi and Yeti at the company polygon confirmed the high safety standard of Škoda cars.
Safety is one of Škoda’s top priorities in developing new vehicles. That involves passengers inside the car and pedestrians as well. New cars are being adapted to be in line with the latest safety technologies.
Experts on the Škoda Auto Traffic Safety Research team have created more crash tests, this time on the topic of the safety of children at the age they start to go to school.
Škoda Auto presented the issue of road safety as a part of its accompanying programme for the Rally Bohemia.
