Engines
The range of drive units for the Yeti includes two petrol and three diesel versions. All the units are four-cylinder, in-line, turbo-charged, installed crosswise in the front, with direct high-pressure fuel injection. They stand out due to their low consumption and meet the requirements of the EU 5 emissions standard.

4x4
Four-wheel drive for the Yeti is provided by an ingenious system using a 4th generation Haldex inter-axle clutch that enables the car to run economically while maintaining excellent traction. The altered rear multi-link axle with wider wheel track gives the car greater stability when driving on rough terrain and also lends it excellent handing properties on the road.

Petrol engines

A four-cylinder 1.2 TSI/77 kW petrol engine will be a completely new feature of the ŠKODA range. The basic engine for the Yeti is destined for the version with front wheel drive. The range is supplemented by a tried-and-tested 1.8 TSI/118 kW.

Diesel engines

Another new feature that appears in the Yeti model is a 2.0 TDI CR DPF engine, which is available in two performance variants, 81 and 103 kW. The trio is concluded by
a 2.0 TDI CR DPF engine that achieves a power output of
125 kW.

Manual gearboxes

The six-speed gearboxes provide pleasure thanks to precise and fast gear changes. The five-speed gearbox is available only for cars with front-wheel drive and
a 2.0 TDI CR DPF/81 kW engine.

Automatic gearbox

A technically advanced seven-speed gear box with the option of automatic or sequential manual gear selection will be offered with the 1.2 TSI/77 kW engine and front-wheel drive.
