The new Octavia Combi offers not only voluminous luggage space, whose basic volume is 605 l, but also an interior with an above-average amount of space that offers those in the front and rear seats sufficient comfort. Typical for the new Octavia’s interior, there are top-quality materials, careful workmanship and a range of clever solutions.

The wide range of engines, which includes five petrol (1.6 MPI/75 kW, 1.2 TSI/77 kW, 1.4 TSI/90 kW, 1.8 TSI/118 kW and 2.0 TSI/147 kW) and four diesel engines (1.6 TDI CR/77 kW, 1.9 TDI/77 kW, 2.0 TDI/103 kW and 2.0 TDI CR/125 kW), will satisfy differing requirements for car handling. Drivers who prefer an economical drive and fans of a sporty style will all find a suitable engine.

1.4 TSI Petrol Engine

With the new 1.4 TSI/90 kW petrol engine, the Octavia reaches a maximum speed of 203 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds. Combined consumption is only 6.6 litres per 100 km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 154 g/km.

Diesel Engines

The tried-and-tested 1.9 TDI/77 kW and 2.0 TDI/103 kW turbo diesel engines with a pump-jet fuel injection system can be equipped on request with a maintenance-free DPF solid particle filter. The range of diesel engines also contains the 1.6 TDI CR DPF /77 kW engine with common-rail high-pressure injection.

Mechanical Gearboxes

For the modernised Octavia Combi model, depending on the chosen engine, the standard is a classic five-speed (for the 1.4 MPI, 1.6 MPI and 1.9 TDI engines) or six-speed (for the 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines) mechanical gearbox.

Automatic Gearboxes

A new feature in the range of automatic gearboxes is, in addition to the current classic six-speed automatic gearbox and the six-speed double-clutch DSG automatic gearbox, a seven-speed automatic double-clutch DSG gearbox for the 1.2, 1.4 and 1.8 TSI petrol engines.
